My gums don’t hurt, I just occasionally bleed when brushing my teeth. Should I seek dental care?

Yes. Bleeding gums is in most cases the only visible sign of a periodontal disease. If nothing is done to locate the origin of the problem and care for the bleeding, the disease will develop further and gums bleeding will recur. Healthy gums never bleed even during vigorous teeth brushing.
